"Unsafe financial practices"

This organisation owns the brand name Poetry and Wrap. These brands market their merchandise through catalogues and online shopping. Poetry has a shop in London. The telephone number for Poetry is redirected to an organisation called we answer. They manage telephone orders and process payments. I learned this today. I also learned that my bank account payment details were being kept in a manual, in a “safe place “which a supervisor had the key. I also learned that all the supervisors had access to this “safe place “ and therefore have access to my bank account details. I believe this to be Extremely Unsafe. I had to phone back to ensure that my bank account details would be shredded. The supervisors I spoke to would not give me any telephone contact numbers for Poetry Head Office. I don’t believe there is a Head Office. I found the information for Selective Marketplace by googling. Easy and not rocket science. I have rung the number of Selective Marketplace, answer phone on both occasions.

I am instructing my bank to ensure that “Poetry” can never access my bank account again.

I will be discussing my concerns with the Financial Services Ombudsman..
