Loughborough Internet >> Local old maps

The first ordinance survey incorporating Loughborough was undertaken in the early 1800's and published in 1835/36. Sheet 63, Leicester, showing the southern side of Loughborough was published in June 1835; Sheet 71, Nottingham, which shows the northern half of Loughborough was published in February 1836.

Although a clearer picture of the environs may be obtained when placing the 2 maps together, the match is not perfect. However, using a scanner and a little patience, a reasonable facsimile has been achieved (albeit presented in highly compressed jpg format).
