Anstey
Large village where an historic way is marked by a medieval packhorse bridge and the 17th century William IV bridge

Barrow on Soar
Interesting limestone replica of Ichthyosaurus tenuirostris (fish like reptile) in the village centre. The River Soar runs through the village and some pretty walks are to be found. Village has a 13th century church.

Cossington
Small village where half timbered cottages still stand.

Cropston
At the village cross roads stands a thatched cottage which equals any picture postcard.

Mountsorrel
Where few yards distance but a century's time separates the hurrying main road traffic from the tranquil canalside scene. Here you will also find a roadside butter cross.

Newton Linford
Pleasant residential village situated on the edge of Bradgate Park. Thatched and A-framed cottages.

Ratcliffe on the Wreake
On the banks of the River Wreake, an attractive village with a number of interesting buildings, and 14th century church.

Rothley
Large village where old cottages still stand around the green and a Saxon Cross is to be found by the impressive church.

Seagrave
Typical pretty Charnwood village with some interesting stone and slate cottages. The church houses a collection of curious old musical instruments.

Walton on the Wolds
Small village where old houses are grouped around the village green.

Woodhouse Eaves and Woodhouse
Two pleasant Charnwood villages on the edge of Charnwood Forest. Nearby is Beacon Hill.

Wymeswold
Lying on the wolds to the North East of Loughborough. A compact village with Georgian Houses, has the air of an 18th century market town. The 14th century church was restored by Pugin in 1844.
